Respiratory Therapist II – NICU, BC Women’s Hospital

The Respiratory Therapist provides routine and intensive cardio-respiratory care to infants with

complex chronic respiratory conditions, providing CPR/airway management instruction home

oxygen and home tracheotomy/ventilation care instruction to parents of infants requiring the

services of the provincial home tracheotomy/ventilation program in accordance with established

policies, procedures, clinical pathways and professional standards.

Support for RT Dan McLean

RT Dan McLean from Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops was injured in a hunting accident on April 18th. A bullet is lodged in his spine, leaving him paralysed from the chest down. The respiratory department at Royal Inland has started a gofundme to help him and his family cover the costs required to get Dan home.
Our thoughts are with Dan, his family, and our RT family in Kamloops during this difficult time.
